Wear NOW: The Ethnic Scarf

Fall weather is officially here! Mild days and cool nights are probable cause to pull out fresh cool weather accessories. Today I want to talk about the ethnic scarf! I think this is a great way to add color and texture to any ensemble.

..Loving this paisley scarf with lurex threading from Urban Outfitters only $28. Get it here!

I found this orange paisley scarf for $68 here but I found a similar one at JC Penny for about $20! I suggest you toot to your local dept store and check out their selection!

Another great source for ethnic scarves is World Market. They have a sparse selection online but the actual store offers a larger selection of scarves and great jewelry too!

Speaking of jewelery..I think it's a must that we own a great pair of filigree earrings to go with our ethnic scarves ;-)

I am absolutely loving these from forever21 and they are only $3.80! Click here to browse their entire collection.

Also note worthy are these rosette filigree earrings at fredflare.com

Fall Forward: Driving Gloves

Can we talk about my slight obsession with driving gloves!?I don't think this is huge on the Fall trend radar yet, but I love it when my readers are ahead of the curve! Look below for inspiration:

I am loving the Juicy Couture's bracelet driver gloves! $125 at shopbop.com

I am also liking these apricot driving gloves by Carolina Amato. Available at eluxurycom in a variety of colors!

Not interested in paying $100+ for the trend? Toot to bloomingdales.com and pick up a pair for only $40.

These fingerless drivers from nordstrom serve as a stylish 80's revival..

How do I create an ensemble that includes the driving glove? Glad you asked!
First off you need a pair of killer pumps or boots

Then add a pencil skirt, skinny jean or our new fav stirrup tight..

Finally, it's time to get creative with our top selection

You could opt for a simple crop jacket or add visual interest with a print blazer

Also you could do a simple knit or completely rock it out with a hot graphic tee!

Style Verdict: Stirrup Tights

After reading my post about tights, one of my loyal readers asked me to dedicate a post to stirrups! From what I have seen, they aren't a huge trend for fall but I think they are definitely note worthy!

Shown below are basic sweater stirrup tights from hue.com. They come in black, brown, grey and navy.

I personally love the idea of a pair with a cute shirt dress or for a more casual look, pair them with an over sized boyfriend cardigan.. Perfect for lounging around the house!

Readers Sound OFF: The stirrup tight...Do we love it!?!

Want it NOW Fall Edition: Part 3

Number 9 on my want it now list are boots. Not just any boots though...

We all need a pair of flat boots in rich COGNAC!! I am obsessed with this particular color because it lends itself to so many ensembles. You can pair it with black, brown and a host of other colors because of it's rich orange undertone.

First up is the Inragee from Steve Madden. Sleek, simple covered sliver wedge boot.
Right now Baker's is running a $20 off all flat boots promo..Get the Izzy here for $129.99
Another note worthy boot trend is fringe..I am liking the Innka by SM!
Check out Corso Como's Sade riding boot at nordstrom.com

I just spoke with my shoe insider Kell a few hours ago about my quest to find a cognac suede boot. Then I stumbled upon this shoe below..I am tooting to Urban Outfitters tomorrow to get a pair!! Yesss

Now that you've found the perfect pair of cognac boots, mix and match the add ons for a few basic looks!

Disclaimer: Shana B. and LC don't condone wearing your boots, matching bag and belt at the same time ;-)

Lavishly Coordinated: Home Edition

Hi Readers!
This week I decided to do a surprise redesign on one of my good friends bathrooms. She had been undecided about the direction she wanted to take her bathroom for months. On a slow Thursday, I set out on a mission: To update this powder room for UNDER $100!

Take the before and after journey with me below:

Before

After

First I found this great curtain at Bed Bath and Beyond for under $20!

I knew I wanted to get a bath ensemble that complimented the white and gold hardware. I lucked up and found the tissue holder, cup, lotion dispenser and trash can on clearance at Target!

I picked up this bouquet from Michael's. Not only does it compliment the colors in the curtain it also adds texture to the space!

The pattern on the towel adds another element of interest.

Finally, I selected artwork to add more sexiness to the space!

I'm pleased at how the space turned out and most importantly my friend was pleasantly surprised!! Whew!
